Fungsi Past Future Tense
Past future tense digunakan untuk menjelakan bahwa pada saat masa lalu kita telah berpikir mengenai sesuatu yang akan terjadi selanjutnya. Apa yang terjadi setelahnya tidak berpengaruh apakah jadi atau tidak yang kita rencanakan tersebut.Beberapa contoh kejadian yang dapat menggunakan Past Future Tense, adalah sebagai berikut :
1. Kalimat Past Future Tense dapat digunakan apabila kita ingin membuat sebuah kalimat yang menyatakan prediksi
Contoh Kalimat Past Future Tense(+) My Uncle had a strong feeling that the weather would be cold.
(-) My Uncle had a strong feeling that the weather would not be cold.
(?) Would my uncle had a strong feeling that the weather be cold ?
(+) Tony predict that his baby would be born next week.
(-) Tony predict that his baby would not be born next week.
(?) Would Tony predict that his baby be born next week ?
2. Kalimat Past Future Tense dapat digunakan apabila kita ingin membuat sebuah kalimat yang menyatakan rencana
Contoh Kalimat Past Future Tense(+) Mia told Sandy his mom was going to come to the class meeting.
(-) Mia told Sandy his mom was not going to come to the class meeting.
(?) Was Mia told Sandy his mom going to come to the class meeting ?
(+) Merin said she was going to bring her son with her, but she came alone.
(-) Merin said she was not going to bring her son with her.
(?) Was Merin said she going to bring her son with her ?
3. Kalimat Past Future Tense dapat digunakan apabila kita ingin membuat sebuah kalimat yang menyatakan janji
Contoh Kalimat Past Future Tense(+) Daniel Father promised his would give Daniel a new car after he graduated.
(-) Daniel father promised his woulld not give Daniel a new car after he graduated.
(?) Would Daniel father promised his give Daniell a new car after he graduated ?
(+) Brian told that he would come on time.
(-) Brian told that he would not come on time.
(?) Would Brian told that he come on time ?
4. Kalimat Past Future Tense dapat digunakan apabila kita ingin membuat sebuah kalimat yang menyatakan aksi yang akan dilakukan secara sukarela
Contoh Kalimat Past Future Tense(+) Krista Boss knew Krista would prepare all the things for the meeting next month.
(-) Krista Boss knew Krista would not prepare all the things for the meeting next month.
(?) Would Krista Boss knew Krista would prepare all the things for the meeting next month?
(+) My mother knew my brother would wash the car after his home.
(-) My mother knew my brother would not wash the car after his home.
(?) Would my mother knew my brother wash the car after his home ?
